Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of dr-baker.com, including any purchase you make there. By creating an account, placing an order or otherwise using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Who we are

dr-baker.com is operated by: Dr.Baker, an Egyptian limited liability company, Commercial Registry No. 4535 (Gamasa Investment Commercial Registry Office), Unified Registry No. 11090 02000 04535, Tax Registration No. 753-611-961, head office: Al-Sananiya, Old Ras El Bar Road, opposite the power station, Damietta Markaz, Damietta.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or use the website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • You must give accurate and complete information and update it when it changes.
  • If you buy on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to act in its name.

3. Products, orders and prices

  • Product descriptions and photos are provided in good faith.
  • Prices are shown in Egyptian pounds and include Value Added Tax where applicable under Egyptian tax law.
  • An order is confirmed when you receive the order confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order in cases such as unavailability, an obvious pricing error or suspected fraud; in that case we refund in full anything you paid.
  • Electronic invoices and receipts are issued through the Egyptian Tax Authority system where required.

4. Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which are:

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you choose.

5. Delivery

Delivery times, areas and fees are shown before you confirm the order and may vary by area. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery. Please check your order when you receive it.

6. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel, return and get a refund are set out in our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and follows the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its executive regulations.

  • Cancellation: you can cancel an order free of charge before it is shipped by contacting us. If you have paid, we refund the full amount to the same payment method.
  • Food and perishable products: for hygiene and food-safety reasons, food and perishable products cannot be returned after delivery unless they are damaged, spoiled, wrong or not as described. This follows the perishable-goods exception in the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018.
  • Damaged or non-conforming products: you are entitled to a replacement or a full refund if a product arrives damaged, defective, different from your order or not as described. Tell us within 14 days of receipt, with a photo of the product and the order number.
  • Non-perishable products: you can exchange or return them within 14 days of receipt if they are in their original condition, in line with the Consumer Protection Law.
  • Refund method: approved refunds are made to the original payment method or by bank transfer.

Nothing above limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018.

7. Business-to-business dealings

  • Quotations: a quotation is valid for the period stated in it, for the quantities and specifications stated in it.
  • Minimum order: any minimum quantity or value stated in the quotation or order applies.
  • Delivery: delivery terms, place, times and shipping costs are set in the quotation or contract.
  • Claims: tell us of any defect or shortage within the period stated in the quotation or contract; if none is stated, immediately on receipt and before using the product.
  • Written agreements: where a separate written agreement exists between us, it applies to the transaction it covers instead of these Terms wherever they differ.

8. Intellectual property

The Dr.Baker name and logo, the website content are owned by Dr.Baker or its licensors and are protected by law. You receive no right in them except as needed to use the website as intended.

9. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, including by attempting unauthorised access, uploading unlawful or harmful content, infringing intellectual-property rights, collecting other users' data, or using the website for any unlawful purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud or gross negligence, or any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the competent Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Consumers may also complain to the Consumer Protection Agency.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time and publish the updated version on this page with its "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept it. No change applies to an order we confirmed before it was published.
